+ Procreate Melting Pot is an app concept that was created for UX Fest Cal Poly a 24-hour team-based Design Competition. The aim of our app concept “Melting Pot” was to bring together families across generations and communities through the joy of food and sharing family recipes.


Process
In this 24-hour design competition we had to create and execute in record time, this required collaboration leadership, lots of coffee and a sleepless night. That said a lot of information architecture and concepting saved us time as the clock wound down, we focused on the importance of storytelling, connection, and accessibility, to drive this concept.

Outcome
Through this experience, I learned in addition to the importance of the effectiveness and gravity of the concept, project management and role division plays a key role in the success and shortsteps of a project. This was a great learning experience that showed me a microcosm of my soft and hard skills and showed where I could grow.
